I am a qualified counsellor with an approach based in person-centred therapy. I believe that a supportive, non-judgemental relationship between counsellor and client is really important for successful therapy. Everyone’s journey is unique and I will bring an understanding of a range of different approaches to find what works for you. The relationship we build together will help you develop your own insight and self awareness so that you can move forward with confidence and trust in yourself.
I have worked with clients on a range of issues including anger, depression, loneliness, anxiety, abuse and life stage difficulties. My clients’ ages have ranged from teens to octogenarians – it’s never too late to begin therapy.
I can work in person or via Skype.
My qualifications are:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, University of Strathclyde
- COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills, University of Glasgow
- TA101 Introduction to Transactional Analysis, Physis Training
- member of the BACP ( British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their ethical code ( see www.bacp.co.uk).
I have an up to date Disclosure Certificate and I am a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
